Quilting Cotton Fabric

Our quilting cotton is a premium-quality, 100% cotton fabric that is soft, durable, and tightly woven for exceptional performance. With a smooth finish and a standard weight of approximately 4.5–5.5 oz per square yard, it is perfect for quilting, garments, bags, accessories, and light home décor projects. Easy to sew by hand or machine, quilting cotton provides crisp seams, excellent structure, and vibrant prints that remain beautiful wash after wash.

Fabric Cuts & Continuous Yardage

All fabric is cut continuously straight from the bolt whenever possible. Fat Quarters are the only exception, as they are pre-cut and are not part of continuous yardage.

Simply increase the quantity of your desired cut size, and we will combine your order into one continuous piece whenever possible. For example:

  • 5/8 Yard × 2 = 1.25 Yards continuous

  • 3/4 Yard × 2 = 1.5 Yards continuous

  • 7/8 Yard × 2 = 1.75 Yards continuous

  • 1 Yard × 2 = 2 Yards continuous

  • 1 Yard × 2 + 1/2 Yard × 1 = 2.5 Yards continuous

Standard Cut Sizes

  • Fat Quarter: 18" × 21.5" (Pre-cut, not continuous)

  • 1/8 Yard: 4.5" × 43/44"

  • 1/4 Yard: 9" × 43/44"

  • 3/8 Yard: 13.5" × 43/44"

  • 1/2 Yard: 18" × 43/44"

  • 5/8 Yard: 22.5" × 43/44"

  • 3/4 Yard: 27" × 43/44"

  • 7/8 Yard: 31.5" × 43/44"

  • 1 Yard: 36" × 43/44"

Inventory Availability

While we strive to maintain accurate inventory levels, occasionally a fabric may sell out before our inventory is updated. If we do not have enough fabric available to fulfill your order, we will contact you promptly to discuss your options. You may choose an alternate fabric, adjust your order quantity, or receive a refund—whichever works best for you.

Please Note

Fabric is cut straight from the bolt and may not always align perfectly with the printed design or pattern repeat.

CONTINUOUS YARDAGE POLICY

At Cut & Ship Fabrics, we understand how important continuous yardage is for quilting and sewing projects.

Whenever possible, multiple quantities of the same fabric will be cut as one continuous piece.

Examples

Quantity 1 = 1 yard

Quantity 2 = 2 continuous yards

Quantity 3 = 3 continuous yards

If we are unable to provide your requested quantity in one continuous cut due to inventory limitations, we will contact you before processing your order.

You may choose to:

* Accept multiple cuts

* Reduce the quantity ordered

* Select a different fabric

Please note that Fat Quarters, Precuts, Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes, Charm Packs, and Specialty Bundles are pre-cut products and are not sold as continuous yardage.

If your project requires one continuous cut, please leave a note during checkout. We will do everything we can to accommodate your request, but continuous yardage cannot always be guaranteed based on available inventory.

Thank you for trusting Cut & Ship Fabrics with your quilt. Every quilt is handled with the utmost care and respect throughout the quilting process. Our goal is to provide beautiful quilting that enhances your project while preserving the quality of your quilt.

Quilt Preparation

To ensure the best possible quilting results, please prepare your quilt before bringing or shipping it to us.

Please:

* Press your quilt top and backing.

* Remove loose threads whenever possible.

* Ensure all seams are secure.

* Square your quilt top and backing.

* Make sure your backing and batting extend at least 4 inches beyond all four sides of the quilt top.

Quilts that require additional preparation, repairs, pressing, seam corrections, or trimming may be subject to additional charges. If significant repairs are needed, we will contact you before proceeding.

Thread Selection

We will carefully select a thread color that best complements your quilt unless you request a specific thread color before quilting begins.

While every effort is made to match your preferences, thread color selection is ultimately based on what will produce the best finished result.

Design Selection

Computerized edge-to-edge quilting designs are stitched exactly as selected and approved.

Once quilting has begun, design changes cannot be made.

Turnaround Time

Turnaround times vary depending on seasonal demand and the number of quilts currently in our queue.

An estimated completion date will be provided when your quilt is received. While we strive to meet all estimated completion dates, they are not guaranteed.

Rush service may be available for an additional fee based on scheduling availability.

Customers are responsible for shipping quilts to Cut & Ship Fabrics.

Return shipping charges will be added to your final invoice unless other arrangements have been made.

Local customers will be notified when their quilt is ready for pickup. We kindly ask that completed quilts be picked up within 30 days of notification unless prior arrangements have been made.

Payment

Payment in full is required before quilts are released for pickup or shipped back to the customer.

Accepted payment methods will be discussed when your quilting order is completed.

Liability

Although every quilt is handled with exceptional care, longarm quilting is a handcrafted service.

Cut & Ship Fabrics is not responsible for:

* Pre-existing fabric defects

* Weak or unstable seams

* Loose embroidery or appliqué

* Fabric shrinkage

* Fabric stretching or distortion caused by construction

* Dye bleeding or color transfer

* Manufacturer defects in fabrics, batting, or thread

Occasionally, small repairs may be made during quilting to prevent additional damage. If a significant issue is discovered before or during quilting, we will contact you to discuss available options before proceeding.

Customer Approval

By submitting your quilt for quilting services, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these Longarm Quilting Terms and Conditions.

COLOR ACCURACY POLICY

At Cut & Ship Fabrics, we work hard to photograph every fabric as accurately as possible so you can shop with confidence.

Please keep in mind that fabric colors may appear differently depending on several factors, including:

* Computer monitor settings

* Mobile phone or tablet displays

* Screen brightness and resolution

* Individual color perception

* Manufacturer dye lots

Because fabrics are produced in dye lots, slight color variations between production runs are normal and unavoidable. Even the same fabric may vary slightly from one shipment to the next.

Many of our fabric photos include a U.S. quarter to help illustrate the scale and size of the print.

If you are trying to match an existing fabric, coordinate colors for a project, or would like additional photos before placing your order, please contact us. We are happy to provide additional pictures and answer any questions to help you make the best selection.

Please note that slight color differences resulting from monitor settings, screen displays, lighting conditions, or manufacturer dye lot variations are considered normal and are not considered product defects or grounds for return or exchange.
